SPECTRUM |
|
| What is Spectrum?
Spectrum is leadership training for students who are ready for the next step in their journey with Jesus and who are ready to learn how to share their faith with their friends. In Acts, Chapter 1, Jesus says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We believe that students are completely capable of carrying out this call and are in fact the best people to introduce other high school students to Jesus. Every student involved in Spectrum must be connected in their local church, as we advocate for their friends be connected back into the students church with them. This leadership training is taught in 1-hour sessions and have 5 different courses that can be taken. Students have the opportunity to move at their own pace and to experience training to meet them where they are at. | |

At My Church
Any student from any denomination can be a part of Spectrum, as it is not a church-specific program. We do not seek for students to connect deeply at Spectrum, but to merely use it as a tool to be equipped in sharing their faith with their friends and getting their friends back to their own church. We plan to have this material available to youth leaders in other areas at some point, but we are still in the process of tweaking the material that we have and teaching it to multiple students to be sure that it has been tried out and found to be most successful and useful. This will be a process over the next couple of years. But if you would like to help see this project come to fruition, please donate to the initiative through the “donate” tab and indicate “spectrum export.” This money will be used for video of the lessons and packaging the teaching materials.
Criteria
All students in 9th- 12th grade, who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who are involved in a church and/ or youth group, involved in a church d-group, and are involved in a campus ministry.
